A light happening is to be the finale of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art anniversary program.
In the evening a light show will take place on Garage Square. The park and Museum visitors will have a chance to assist the members of the Light Painting World Alliance in the creation of a large-scale light installation.
Light painting is an artistic practice that blends together the elements of photography, choreography, graphics, and the latest optical technologies. An artist creates a light painting during one long exposure, subsequently the oeuvre is fixed on photographic film.
The motto of the Light Painting World Alliance is Light Is Paint, Night Is Canvas.
