Gilles Clément
Garden in motion
Meet the renowned landscape architect Gilles Clément. According to Clément, the garden, like the man, can move: it develops in space and it changes with time. Since the late 1970s, Clément has applied the concept of ‘a garden in motion’ to his own practice. In this talk, the architect will reveal how to make a garden to move onto a wall or even into a museum, and how to transform a garden visit into a contemplative experience. This talk is organized in association with the Festival of landscape objects «Archstoyanie» and Nikola-Lenivets.
Gilles Clément is a landscape architect and a teacher at ENSP School. He has developed a lot of public parks in Paris, including Parc André Citroën and the Garden of the Quai Branly Museum.
Admission is free.
