The team at Garage invites you to celebrate the Museum’s Garage's thirteenth birthday. The program includes exhibition tours, a visit to Garage Archive Collection, a workshop for children, and a film screening.
To mark the Museum’s birthday, the Garage Archive Collection team has produced a documentation project about the history of the Museum, featuring key events, exhibitions, and projects that have taken place at Garage since its opening, compiled in a single chronology.
Archive staff will give free guided tours of Garage Archive Collection and describe the Museum’s current research projects, the collections within the archive, and their work.
To celebrate the Museum’s birthday, staff of various departments at Garage will give tours of the current exhibitions in Russian, English, Russian Sign Language, and Kyrgyz. A special guided tour will be available for visitors with mental disabilities.
Children of all ages are welcome to take part in the Family Day workshop about paper architecture, where participants will learn new ways of working with paper, using collage and bas-relief to bring their architectural fantasies to life.
Garage Rooftop pavilion will be open all day for board games and ping pong. In the evening, the Russian premiere of the restored version of Wong Kar-wai’s 2046 will be shown in Garage Screen summer cinema.
