Creating a City: Residential Space within the Metropolis

Peripheriques Architectes is a collaboration between Martin + Trottin Office and Françoise Jumeau architectes/afja. The agency was founded fifteen years ago, dedicated primarily to housing and urban development. Their residential developments are often transformed into urban projects, and the architects’ practice shifts from individual buildings to large-scale urban environments. Aside from residential properties, the agency also works on major projects for the design of public spaces, creating areas for living and culture. The agency’s founders believe that an intelligent approach to design is the cornerstone of architecture. This talk will explore the formation of residential areas in big cities, and provide ways to avoid monotony and homogeny in newly formed urban spaces.

Admission to all lectures is free.

Venue: British Higher School of Art and Design, ARTPLAY Design Center, 10, Bld. 3, N. Syromyatnicheskaya Street, 5th Floor (Room 5.11)
