DESCRIPTION

A Mafia boss and an ambitious policeman join forces to catch a serial killer in Lee Won-tae’s funny and fast action film.

In Cheonan, South Korea, the easy and sweet life of a gangster named Jang Dong-su is interrupted by an encounter with a serial killer who rams into cars and brutally murders their drivers. Narrowly escaping death, Jang Dong-su seeks revenge and forms an unlikely alliance with ambitious young detective Jung Tae-seok. Jung Tae-seok does not like the gangster but does not want to lose the case.

Based on real events, Lee Won-tae’s story of smaller evils (the detective himself is not a man of virtue) teaming up to fight the bigger evil is equally funny and violent. Ma Dong-seok was so charming in the role of the gangster that Sylvester Stallone’s production company, who bought the rights for an American remake, invited the actor to play the same role in their film.
