Film screening. In My Room

28 June 2019

A post-apocalyptic drama about the last man on Earth from Berlin school pioneer Ulrich Köhler.

TV journalist Armin wakes up to a strange world that seems to have been suddenly abandoned by all humans. Their homes and cars are intact, and animals, who seem as bewildered as the protagonist himself, walk around freely. Armin embarks on the most unusual adventure of his life.

An unusual and ironic take on post-apocalypse by one of the key contemporary directors, In My Room has no special effects—instead, it constructs the image of the end times from the most trivial elements of everyday life. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
