DESCRIPTION

A film about the world's most famous teenage girl, which became a genuine festival blockbuster in Rotterdam and Venice.

At the age of 15, Greta Thunberg first came to the Swedish parliament with a poster saying "School Strike for Climate." This was when director Nathan Grossman found out about Greta and spent a year with her, filming everything that was happening to the heroine. Over that time, Greta has inspired thousands of fellow teenagers around the globe to protest, received thousands of furious comments, met with French President Emmanuel Macron and Pope Francis, appeared on hundreds of covers, and spoken at the UN. Grossman's film is not so much about the activist Greta, however, as about the teenage Greta—a straightforward, independent girl with a phenomenal memory and a sense of humor. Along with moving between conferences and making speeches, the picture also shows Greta arguing with her father, dancing in an empty room, receiving her school certificate, and stroking horses. She never wanted to be popular and feels uncomfortable traveling away from her family and her beloved dogs. But she continues to do what she believes important.

The film is screened in English and Swedish with Russian subtitles.
