Description

Felipe Guerrero meticulously films sugarcane harvesting in south-west Columbia. A man appears in a steady shot; he changes his dress and starts cutting sugarcane in real time. The rhythm of machetes sliding along the sugarcane matches the rhythm of scissors on the editing desk. Due to the monotony of the action the viewer gets absorbed in meditation being literally chained to the screen.

Screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2012.

The Russian Premier.

In the framework of the Deconstruction of Сinematic Realities Film Program.
