Bogancloch, nestled in the vast highland forest of Scotland, is where modern day hermit Jake Williams lives.
Ben Rivers’ film observes Williams’ solitary life, his infrequent meetings with strangers, and a life which remains the same in a constantly changing world. Even so, Bogancloch is not the first interaction between the director and his subject. Rivers made a film about him in 2011, returning over a decade later to record the tiny changes in Jake Williams’ existence.
The film will be screened in English with Russian subtitles.
