DESCRIPTION

Cyberpunk classic about the disturbing world of the future where it is always raining, and dark cities are lit up with neon skyscrapers, giant advertising banners, and flying cars. Harrison Ford plays the "blade runner", an agent who has to find and destroy four replicants—human-like robots.

This loose adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel flopped at the box office, but by the mid-1980s had acquired cult status. The film partially reflects the paranoia of Nixon’s era while predicting an even gloomier future by submerging the viewer into the Los Angeles of 2019—a city of high technology with radically low living standards, where there is no nature and one cannot distinguish robots from people.
