Family Program accompanying the exhibition Assuming Distance: Speculations, Fakes, and Predictions in the Age of the Coronacene

Public program for the exhibition Assuming Distance: Speculations, Fakes and Predictions in the Age of the Coronacene
17 April – 8 June 2021
On Saturdays, 13:00–16:00

As the post-COVID condition dictates new rules for human interaction, communication, learning, and shared pastimes are now being planned, taking distance into account. Garage invites audiences to play by these new rules and contemplate the notions of distance and alienation.

Workshop hosts and educators will offer a novel format, more precisely, a certain distance, designed to better understand the artworks on display at the exhibition Assuming Distance. Children and adults will have the chance to co-create a large installation or make a small-size work that could be taken home after the event.

Family program events can be joined at any stage.

Children aged 5 to 12 years are welcome to take part.
Advance registration is required.
Personal protective equipment (masks and gloves) must be used at all events.
Accessible for visitors with disabilities.
