Schedule

Workshop Project Earth

In the lead-up to the opening of the exhibition The Coming World: Ecology as the New Politics 2030–2100 Garage Museum of Contemporary Art invites you to a discussion about the way planet Earth looks today and what kind of future awaits us. Participants will also have the opportunity to become a curator for a few hours.

What if a suggestion had been made to create an entire pavilion in space that would inform inhabitants of other planets and representatives of different civilizations about modern-day Earth, a planet inhabited by humans as an integral part of its ecosystem. What would such an exhibition involve? Each participant is invited to choose a single object that they consider to be the most significant, think how to present it as an exhibition piece, and write a label with a description. Will it be a readymade, a sculpture, a drawing, a photograph or an installation? Garage invites children aged 5 and up (with their parents) and teenagers to take part in the workshop. Participants’ work will be displayed at the family festival Garage Under 18, which takes places at Garage in early September.
