Family workshop based on the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar
How many holes do you need to count in a book for a caterpillar to turn into a beautiful butterfly? Workshop participants will leaf through and discuss books by children's author Eric Carle together, before learning various techniques for working with paper, form, decorative initials, characters, and plot to make their own tiny books.

Workshop on making a pop-up book
In a pop-up book, the illustrations are not flat but three-dimensional and sometimes even move. The double-page spread of such a book is a three-dimensional space, such as a fairy-tale castle or an active volcano. Workshop participants will discuss what space can be and how it changes depending on the size (from a small box to a huge museum building). During the practical part, the group will learn about the concept of scale and some basic paper-plastic techniques in order to create their own three-dimensional pop-up books.
