Express sketching course Sketching the Museum

Date

Schedule

On Saturdays, 13:00–15:00

DESCRIPTION

This series of workshops, introducing sketching in the environment of Garage, will acquaint the group with quick sketching techniques inside the Museum: the participants will learn about the means of visual expression used in graphic arts, the basics of perspective representation, and the rules of using color in a drawing.

Rather than merely a space exhibiting artworks, a museum also means elaborate architectural and interior design, bookshop and café, lectures and events, visitors and staff. These workshops will introduce the participants to the different elements the Museum is composed of and will help them to explore its environment through the process of drawing.

Each class includes a lecture on a particular subject, skills training exercises, a drawing session, and a group discussion of the final results.

She graduated in fine and graphic arts from the Moscow Pedagogical State University and completed an internship at the faculty of Art History at the University of Perugia, Italy.
