DESCRIPTION

In the run-up to the annual training course on inclusion, Garage invites visitors to a lecture on the role of play in the development of deaf and hard of hearing children.

Garage continues to work with arts and culture professionals in the run-up to the annual training course Experiencing the Museum, which offers a platform to discuss the accessibility of museums for different groups of visitors.

In this lecture, a teacher from the museum’s Department of Inclusive Programs, Mila Kolotusha, will talk about early and pre-school development of deaf and hard of hearing children and explain how to make the process of learning easy and efficient. She will focus on the importance of play, discuss the skills children can develop from the age of 1 to 3, and show how they form their idea of the world.

The lecture will include a creative workshop, where parents can try and communicate with children in a new way.
