Garage visitors are invited to experience familiar works in a new way by interacting with art through touch—while professionals can learn about new techniques and solutions in the production of tactile models.
Today experts in many countries are looking for ways of making raised images more readable and clearer for the blind, but despite years of research there is no universal standard. Exhibition participants will share the key principles of their work in the section Tactile Models: Materials, Techniques, Concepts and discuss problems in the making of tactile images during the round table "Various Approaches to Tactile Models."
The exhibition, by the Bookshop at Garage Atrium, will be open for the duration of the conference.
