14 July – 25 August 2016

DESCRIPTION

Young people with or without disabilities are invited to discuss works by some of the key contemporary artists.

According to the American conceptual artist John Baldessari, the average time people spend looking at a painting is seven seconds. Assembling twice a month to discuss particular works in Co-thinkers, our inclusive debate group will combine verbal and tactile exploration of works to get to their essence.

Participants will learn about some of the most important artists of today and discuss the social and cultural issues that have inspired their works. Discussions will be moderated by a member of Garage Teens Team, one of the co-thinkers behind the exhibition Evgeny Lyapin, and Garage’s inclusive programs manager.
