Garage Museum of Contemporary Art invites Garage cardholders (Premium and Art Lovers’ Circle) on a special tour of the fall season exhibitions with Garage curators Anastasia Mityushina and Valentin Diaconov.
The exhibition Marcel Broodthaers. Poetry and images is devoted to the renowned Belgian conceptual artist Marcel Broodthaers. Featuring over eighty works, including books, prints, assemblages, films, and large-scale installations, the show at Garage provides a comprehensive view of the practice of this “artist for the artists” and his influence on contemporary art.
The Fabric of Felicity is an exhibition project embracing over forty artists from different countries who use clothes and fabric in their practice, revealing the diverse meanings of these materials. Through the exploration of artworks executed by representatives of various nationalities, Garage curators aim to emphasize the equal importance of cultural and artistic traditions of East and West.
Another exhibition currently on display at Garage is bauhaus imaginista. Moving Away: The Internationalist Architect, which tracks the relationship between selected teachers and students of Bauhaus—the famous German school of architecture and design. Also this fall, Garage Atrium is home to The Last Resort—a sound installation by Anri Sala, while occupying Garage Square in front of the museum is Damián Ortega’s sculptural installation The Modern Garden
