How to feel powerful and use art to change the world Led by Jess Thom and Matthew Pountney of Touretteshero.

Writer, artist, and part-time superhero Jess Thom is “changing the world one tic at a time”.  Jess has Tourette’s Syndrome, a neurological condition which makes her say biscuit up to 16,000 times a day. Through Touretteshero, she has recast Tourette’s as her power and pioneered forms of creative engagement that promote increased inclusivity within the arts. This creative and playful workshop explores new ways to think about disability and difference.

Free admission with advance registration.

The workshop will run in English.

Garage will provide interpreters to Russian and Russian Sign Language.

A two-hour workshop for disabled and non-disabled young people aged 14–20 years.
