Director of Clore Leadership Program Hilary Carty will share her experience in development of the cultural sector in the UK and talk about programs to nurture skills and competence for leaders in the cultural sector.
Hilary Carty has been engaged in developing cultural leadership in the UK for more than thirty years, acting as an independent consultant as well as a leader of state organizations and funds. She will explore the policy and practice necessary to strengthen the leadership of culture for individuals, organizations, and sectors. She will look at the key roles for networks, organizations, and contemporary leaders in providing opportunities, sharing knowledge, and nurturing skills and competences for successful cultural leadership in the twenty-first century.
The lecture is a part of the series “Theories and practices of cultural leadership” organized by Garage Museum of Contemporary Art together with the British Council.
