DESCRIPTION

Design Today is a book by design critic Maria Savostyanova based on ten lectures she delivered at Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, in which the author analyzes dozens of Russian and international projects and reflects on the most peculiar facts and practices in contemporary design, such as technocraft, art VS design, the development and use of new materials, and design for museums.

During the presentation, art historian Maria Savostyanova, architect Harry Nuriev, and product designer and artist Taras Zheltyshev will discuss what design is in the modern world, how design before the pandemic differs from that of today, and how design responds to global and local problems. The conversation will be moderated by journalist Alexander Ostrogorsky.

On November 18, Garage Shop will be selling Design Today with a 10% discount.
