Adapted Architectural Walks in Gorky Park for Blind and Partially Sighted Visitors

Date

DESCRIPTION

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art is once again offering free tours of Gorky Park and its architectural structures: the main entrance arch, Garage office, the Gorky Park administration building, and the central alley fountain, which is located near the Museum.

During the tour, participants will learn about the history of the architectural structures and some of the trends in Soviet and Russian architecture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

The tour is adapted for blind and partially sighted visitors. During the walks we will use tactile models and bas-reliefs of the buildings. In this way participants can have a direct experience of the architectural features of the structures.

Duration: 90 minutes
