Due to the expansion of open storage Garage Library will no longer be located in the Seasons of the Year pavilion. The new location and opening date will be announced later.
This series of meetings involves discussions of texts on the contemporary understanding of abstract painting, a genre which does not depict the world yet remains a means of thinking about and experiencing contemporary reality.
In the nine meetings, participants will look at several texts, including works by art theorists Meyer Shapiro, Rosalind Krauss, and David Joselit and artists Lee Ufan and Amy Sillman.
Participants will be selected through an open call. All meetings will be offline and in Russian.
All materials will be provided with Russian translations.
Applications will be accepted until September 3, 2026. Results will be announced on September 7.
