Andrey Kovalev welcomes Konstantin Zvezdochetov, a legend of modern art, one of the founders of the Mukhomor art group and the informal art group World Champions.
Konstantin Zvezdochetov (b. 1958 Moscow) is a Russian artist who graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (stage design). He lives and works in Moscow.
One of the main artists of unofficial Russian art and one of the most brilliant participants of apartment exhibitions in the APRART gallery, in 1978 Konstantin Zvezdochetov became one of the founders of the legendary Moscow underground group Mukhomor, in which he participated until 1984. In 1986, together with artists Boris Matrosov and Gia Abramishvili, he created the group World Champions. Konstantin Zvezdochetov’s works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov gallery, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art MUKHA (Belgium), the Jane Voorhees Zimmerly Art Museum collection of Norton and Nancy Dodge (USA), among others.
