DESCRIPTION

Exchange program creating tailored educational courses for visually impaired and blind visitors

Invisible Experience is an important program that broadens awareness of the social and psychological needs of blind and visually impaired people. To date, cultural institutions in Russia have been almost inaccessible for visually impaired people, and their annual programs offer no events designed specifically for this category of visitors. Garage Museum of Contemporary Art invites employees of galleries and museums to a three-day event that offers a programme of lectures and workshops to promote the knowledge and skills required for a new, enthusiastic, and mixed audience. We believe that this initiative will help turn Moscow-based cultural institutions for visual culture into free meeting spaces for people with disabilities.
