Sasha Obukhova will talk about one of the most striking phenomena of art in the early 1990s, - the artists of the gallery squat In Trekhprudny Lane. The squat in Trekhprudny was a free informal community of artists where exhibitions of the squat inhabitants and their friends were held on Thursdays (96 shows in less than three years of the gallery). Among the main heroes of Trekhprudny were Avdey Ter-Oganyan, Vladimir Dubosarsky and Valery Koshlyakov.
You will also learn about the favourites of the Moscow public of the 1990s - Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe, AES Group and Dmitry Gutov.
