The seventh lecture is dedicated to one of the most famous trends of Soviet underground art, - social art. Sasha Obukhova will talk about how social art evolved, what are its main stylistic features and who are the key representatives (Vitaly Komar, Alexander Melamid, Leonid Sokov, Boris Orlov and Alexander Kosolapov). The lecture will cover the famous Bulldozer Exhibition in 1974 and the first officially allowed social art exhibitions of 1974-1975.
