What does it mean to be "good at painting"? Perceptions of what constitute the ideal in painting—of what's important and what isn't—change, are forgotten, and come back into style. But both in art and in life, it's important not just to conform to given standards, but to have a unique vision and find the right approach and tools to express it. The main purpose of this course is to help you recognize and acquire various drawing, painting, and design techniques that will allow you to express your thoughts and experiences as clearly as possible. Over the course of this class, we will look at the basics of creating form, composition, and perspective, and make works using color, value, and texture.
Tatyana Chursina graduated from Moscow's Surikov State Academy Art Institute in 2010. Since 2010 she has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Chursina's works are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
