This family course reviews the history of modern and contemporary art through the works of twenty important artists of the twentieth and twenty-first century, including Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons and Ilya Kabakov.

The theoretical part offers simple and accessible explanations for art terms, such as “impressionism”, “cubism” and “installation” and introduces listeners to some of the most interesting works of modern and contemporary part. The practical part will help participants familiarize themselves with the styles and movements studied in the course and develop creative thinking.

Course Format: 20 classes in two blocks: 10 classes from September to December and 10 classes from February to April. Participants may subscribe to either segment; however, it is recommended to start with the first block.
