Learning about the patterns in art history from the classical age to the contemporary era will allow listeners to feel confident when discussing art.

This lecture explores the key principles of sacred sculpture and its legacy in contemporary art, and includes a discussion of sculpting materials (marble, basalt, diorite, bronze, and wood), as well as of tectonics, static and dynamic compositions.
