This book traces the history of the concept of Art Brut, which is connected to the work and personality of the French artist, Jean Dubuffet, who did the most for the appreciation and preservation of these works.

In 2012, Garage Center for Contemporary Culture acquired the archive of Art Projects Foundation, which became the core of its own archive collection. In 2014, the Center became Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and its archive became a museum collection. The collection has inherited the structure of the Art Projects Foundation archive and contains documents on Russian contemporary artists and art events, press cuttings, press releases, exhibition booklets, invitations, programs, and posters.
