Michael Levin's award‑winning and extraordinarily beautiful photographs have a very painterly quality. In a recent profile, the American fine art magazine Focus declared that, 'Michael Levin's captivating images are soulful and evocative; he is truly one of the rising starts in photography'. Using long exposures, Levin reduces the landscape to elemental shapes. Each image has a simplicity and purity capturing the essence of the landscape. Levin has won a number of awards including the 'Photographer of the Year' award at the 2006/7 International Photography Awards.
