Alexandra Catiere: Résidence BMW au Musée Nicéphore Niépce
Alexandra Catiere was the artist chosen for the first BMW Residency at the Musée Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon-sur-Saône, France. Through the autumn of 2011 she pursued a personal project drawing on the city, people and objects; not restricting herself to a particular subject, genre or technique, but letting herself be guided by the moment and its illuminating encounters. The photographs in this book are open to two interpretations. Individually they trigger the imagination and invite us to continue their stories in our minds. Taken together they make up a fresco whose timeless, universal character reminds us of our human condition and our desire to resist the passing of time.
