The book is dedicated to the 28th International Congress on the History of Art, Comite International d'Histoire de l'Art (CIHA), held in Berlin, 1992. Art historians from around the world met with the general theme of “artistic exchange” for lectures and the exchange of news and views. The Congress made it possible to get acquainted with current issues in this area, as well as with art in Central and Eastern Europe, issues of avant-garde in the East and West, preservation of historical monuments, the future of museums and the development of new media and original scientific methods.
