Vlaminck: Сatalogue critique des peintures et ceramiques de la periode fauve/ Vlaminck: Critical Catalogue of Fauve Paintings and Ceramics

The publication of this first volume, dedicated to the artist’s Fauve period, must restore to Vlaminck acknowledgement of the determining role that he played in the artistic avant-garde at the start of the twentieth century. It comprises 211 paintings — to which are added the ceramic works that Vlaminck produced in collaboration with the potter Andre Metthey — out of the more than 6000 that have so far been inventoried. This figure is indicative of the vastness of the task that remains to be accomplished.
