Chronologically these are drawn from a large and diverse body of writing that spanned the 1980s, a significant decade for critical writing in Canada, when a number of art magazines emerged or appeared and the number of artist-run centers grew. Randolph s writings for these magazines have been reprinted as they first appeared, without revision, to invite a reassessment of their original range and continuity.
