Hear a lecture on individual consciousness and the obsolescence of mass psychology.

“Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual's conscious life, the blacker and denser it is.”

Carl Jung

The obscure shadows of the unconscious have haunted culture and science for over a century. But times are changing, the world wars are becoming a matter of the past and it’s time to return to consciousness. What is the new palace of conscious culture like? What emotions and experiences does it contain? Is it open to everyone and what does one find inside when one enters it?

Sergei Mats is a lecturer in psychology at the Vygotsky Institute of Psychology at the Russian State University for the Humanities, and a lecturer in directing at the International Academy of Television and Radio. He is a film director and a recipient of the TEFI award for excellence in the Russian television industry.
