DESCRIPTION

The Shining is a film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel which is the story of Jack Torrance, a writer (acted by Jack Nicholson).

Jack started working on a new novel in a gigantic hotel closed for winter, but his stay turned into a bloody and mystical nightmare. The Shining is considered to be one of Kubrick’s most visually complex and enigmatic films.

Stanley Kubrick is renowned as one of the most spectacular directors. He used various innovative techniques to create complex figurative structure of his works—which gave birth to numerous analytical theories aiming to decipher the director’s visual language. The Shining is considered to be among Kubrick’s most complex films.
