In 2015, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art’s new building will open to the public. Rem Koolhaas, the lead architect of this project, will discuss his experiences working in Russia and the challenges of preserving architectural heritage in the modern world. Koolhaas will also present the development plan for Garage’s new space.

Entrance is free, but space is limited. Please arrive early.

Rem Koolhaas is a leading Dutch architect, urbanist, Professor in Practice of Architecture and Urban Design at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, and the curator of the XIV Venice Architecture Biennale (2014). A founding partner of Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), his projects have won a great number of prizes, including the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2000, the Imperial Prize of Japan in 2003, the RIBA Gold medal (UK) in 2004, the European Union prize for contemporary architecture in 2005, and the Venice Architecture Biennale Golden Lion award for his contribution to architectural development in 2010.
