What does a visitor experience within an exhibition venue? What processes does a curator handle? How can an institution contribute to the local community? How can it reflect the changes in a city and the ways in which we perceive them? What can adults learn from children through art-educational projects? How can networks for art be established? The team of professionals behind the Open Class course will provide answers to these questions, through a structure divided into four themes: the City, the Art Network, the Present Day, and Education.
Guest speakers: Natalia Baryshnikova (postgraduate student at Higher School of Economics), Vera Roiter (postgraduate student at Higher School of Economics), Anna Gilyova (project manager at Third Place), Olga Treivas (architect at Form Bureau), Snejana Krasteva (curator at Garage), Anna Gor (director at Nizhny Novgorod State Center for Contemporary Art), Anastasia Mityushina (head of education at Garage), Andrey Velikanov (artist, philosopher), Elena Yaichnikova (curator, art critic), Mary Sarycheva (manager of educational projects at Garage), Natalia Gomberg (art historian), Ekaterina Vladimirtseva (curator and Teen's Team leader at Garage).

10:15 - 11:55 am: City section: environmental design; Third Place project
Noon - 1:40 pm: Network section: art residences and international exchange; network art projects
1:40 - 2:00 pm: Lunch
2:00 - 3:40 pm: Present Day section: artistic practices in the contemporary context / multifunctional cultural centers
3:45 - 5:25 pm: Education section: educational artistic practices for professionals; children's educational programs
