DESCRIPTION

Together with the workshop’s participants, Upsala Circus performers will make sock balls, show and explain how to learn to juggle and enjoy it.

Some grown-ups believe that we should always do useful things. But what if we don’t want to do anything serious and complicated? In fact, any new practice can lead to serious change—whether it's meditation in the garden or… juggling! As little as half an hour of juggling a day can develop the brain and form new neuron connections.

Prepare in advance:

  • Three socks, ideally of the same size and texture but in different colors.
  • 700 to 800 grams of any grain (buckwheat and rice will work best).

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Fourth-year student performers Azbek, Dasha, Kolya, Ksyusha, Lyusya, Nika, Sarvar, Sveta, and Sonya will run the workshop together with Nikolay Grudino of the professional Upsala Circus team, who has taken part in the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh and the show Ping-Pong Ball Effect nominated for a Golden Mask.
