Lecture by Yuri Gordon for CreativeMornings

June 27, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Breakfast lecture series for creative types

CreativeMornings is a breakfast lecture series for creative types held every month in 82 cities around the world. In June, CreativeMornings’ global topic is MINIMAL. It will be the 10th CreativeMornings event in Moscow. Yuri Gordon is an illustrator, designer, engraver, typographer, one of the founders of the Letterhead studio, which produces original Cyrillic fonts, and author of the first study on the shape of the characters of the modern Russian alphabet — “Books about letters from Aa to Zz.” He will talk about how to achieve desired design results with micro means, how to work with the composition of a void, and how limited technical possibilities often lead to the creation of font legends.

CreativeMornings breakfasts are free of charge but registration is obligatory.

CreativeMornings breakfasts take place on Fridays once a month in 82 cities around the world. The talk begins at 9:00, with guests gathering at 8:30. Coffee and snacks are served before the lecture starts. Each talk’s duration is 30 minutes, with a Q&A session with the speaker afterwards.
