Artists Lendl Barcelos, Valentina Desideri, and Myriam Lefkowitz will talk about the methods of performative mediation upon which A (Mis)reader’s Guide to Listening is based.
Artists Lendl Barcelos, Valentina Desideri, and Myriam Lefkowitz will host a two-day Information Session where they will share some of the practices involved in their upcoming piece A (Mis)reader’s Guide to Listening, which will be performed during the exhibition Infinite Ear. They will move through different kinds of practices, from non-disciplinary healing to blind walks, deep listening, tarot reading, and various forms of engagement with objects and touch. The session is divided into two events: an evening lecture, where the artists will present their ideas and methods, and a practical workshop. Please make sure that you are comfortably dressed (sportswear is preferable), as the workshop may include body movements and techniques which involve touching or manipulating the body.
