Deaf and hard of hearing visitors are welcome to join Garage Museum of Contemporary Art’s upcoming guided tours.
Tour participants will be introduced to the practice of Pavel Pepperstein by exploring his show The Human as a Frame for the Landscape featuring myths, universes, new languages, cities, and political projects conceived by the artist during the time period spanning from the 1970s until today. Visitors will also have the chance to view the first Russian retrospective of the Pakistani artist Rasheed Araeen—whose practice embraces six decades—and discuss the role of art in the fight for justice. Also on show will be Bureau des transmissions which encourages visitors to look at educational strategies as an integral part of the life of the contemporary museum. Presented as a forum with artists' interventions, Bureau des transmissions will function in various modes: as a continuous performance, a program of master classes, and a series of meetings with the artists and educators involved in the project.
