The Brazilian street art star tells his story.
Eduardo Kobra is one of the most famous street artists on the planet. His enormous, brightly-colored murals can be seen in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Rome, and, of course, in his native São Paulo. But this documentary autobiography is not a straightforward success story. Kobra has left a lot of air and space within the film: the camera either flies across facades with his works or takes long pauses, examining passers-by. The artist travels the streets of his city on a bicycle and paints the walls of a school together with its pupils. In between these urbanist sketches, the artist talks about his complicated relationship with his parents, depression, global justice, and animal rights. His honesty and idealism cannot but inspire.
The film will be screened in Portuguese with Russian subtitles.
