Garage Museum of Contemporary Art launches the course Inclusion in Web and Digital Technologies: Assistive Technologies and Accessibility of Digital Products.
The course is a lead up to the annual Experiencing the Museum conference and part of its education program. This year’s conference focuses on the role of web and digital technologies in creating an accessible environment.
The course program comprises two parts: theoretical (four lectures) and practical (four seminars).
The speakers will discuss assistive technologies and the principles of developing an accessible digital product. During the seminars, participants will concentrate on solving various cases dealing with ensuring accessibility and will develop their own products (applications, games, or platforms). To complete the course, they will present their projects at the conference Experiencing the Museum: Web and Digital Technologies as Tools for Museum Accessibility, taking place on April 1-3, 2021.
The course is aimed at product and cultural managers who want to make their product accessible to everyone or carry out projects allowing information and space to be made accessible to various audiences.
The course starts on February 8. Lectures and seminars will be held online via Zoom on Mondays and Thursdays, from 19:00 to 21:00.
