DESCRIPTION

Participants will learn about Garage’s architectural history and take on the role of architects by proposing their own projects for the reconstruction of the building.

Once the main function of the building, where the Museum is now located, was providing leisure opportunities to Gorky Park visitors and welcoming important guests. It currently hosts exhibitions, lectures, performances, book fairs, children's events and even concerts. Workshop participants will reflect upon what else the building of the former Four Seasons restaurant could turn into and implement their ideas by making architectural models.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Victoria Scherbenko is a pedagogue of Art in English at the IB (International Baccalaureate) program, teacher of creative and theoretical classes for children and teenagers in various Moscow museums. She graduated in Arts and Graphics from Moscow State Pedagogical University, studied at the Free Workshops School of Contemporary Art, completed an internship at the Art History Faculty of the University of Perugia, Italy, and professional growth courses at the school METOD.

Valeria Glebova is an architect, artist, illustrator, and graphic designer. She holds a bachelor's degree from MARCH Architecture School and graduated from Krasnopresnenskaya Art School. She is also a teacher and author of creative classes (since 2017). She conducted masterclasses at the Summer Children's Academy and others institutions offering creative education for kids.

REGISTRATION

We care about the health of our visitors and follow the decree of the Moscow government, by which a visit to the Museum is only possible with a QR code and an original passport. Visitors under 18 do not need a QR code but must be accompanied by an adult with a QR code.
