An international panel will choose books to represent Russia abroad.
The Zhar-Kniga contest supports books that challenge convention and break away from design clichés and rules. The only rule that the panel take into account is that the book design should match its function, which consists not only in conveying the author’s idea to the reader, but also in making in stronger through the use of contemporary book design and printing techniques. Zhar-Kniga makes no distinction between coffee table books and modest functional publications as long as their form matches their content.
At Garage Auditorium, the panel of judges will choose the books that will represent Russia in international competitions.
