Participants will learn about the history of the Hexagon pavilion, discuss the importance of preserving and restoring heritage buildings, and build their own city blocks from polygons together with teachers from the MOGU! architecture studio.
Almost a hundred years ago the architect Ivan Zholtovsky built the Hexagon in Gorky Park. During the workshop, the teachers will tell its story and show what it used to look like. Together with the participants they will try to imagine what it could be today. Then the participants will build architectural models and learn about the importance of rhythm and dominant elements in urban architecture.
