Place

DESCRIPTION

The future is one of the hardest things to talk about and communicate without bias We all have preconceived notions and ideas about the future, but if you want to share your vision of the future and engage others in creating a common framework for talking about the future we have to make the implicit futures within us into explicit futures that other people can understand.

At the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies we have a tool box for talking about the future this includes megatrends, scenarios, well known fictional narratives and images that are already embedded in our culture and our imagination and examples from the past that illustrate trends and countertrends. Cultural institutions are potentially ideal future spaces for facilitating these conversations, where people can discuss different perspective of the possibilities and challenges that the future holds.
